Biegedy, an affordable 10-inch tablet with good features

This year, I got a tablet as a Christmas present. It's the first one I've used, so you have to bear in mind that I have no comparison.

I have always considered these devices as expensive gadgets for leisure. And since we already have plenty of screens, I have never considered buying one.

It is a budget tablet, less than a hundred euros (at the time of writing) and more than decent in terms of features and performance.

Here are the contents of the box: The tablet, a protective film for the screen (I failed miserably at sticking it on), a Bluetooth mouse (also with a USB stick that I wasn't able to get working), the charger and its cable, a USB A to USB C adapter, a little stick to remove the MicroSD card, a Bluetooth keyboard, a classic case with a plastic back and a small quick-start manual in several languages.

The tablet has a very good finish, both in terms of the buttons, the frame and the screen. The whole feels sturdy. It has its weight, without being annoying, and is pleasant to the touch.

It must be said that all the complements are of average quality, although they fulfil their function, it is noticeable that the materials have been cut back on, but you can always use better ones of your choice.

The keyboard, although it looks good in the photos, feels flimsy to the touch. It is very thin. It sounds like what it is. A light sheet metal that can be bent, but it works well. I can't find where the battery is, so I guess I'll have to look for it by removing the twelve screws on the back.

Although I have not been able to get it to work via USB, I have tried it via Bluetooth and the key response is correct.

It has the letter Ñ, although it took me a while to figure out how to use it.

The sequence of keys to display the Ñ is as follows:

  1. With the Alt Option key held down, press the N key.
  2. Alt Option is released
  3. Press N again and the Ñ appears.

The device, running Android 14, moves very well thanks to its 1.8 GHz Octa-core processor and 20Gb RAM, (12Gb RAM + 8Gb virtual RAM). It has 128GB of internal storage capacity and a MicroSD card slot for up to 1Tb.
