Black Friday. Cartoon of 25/11/2017 in CTXT

The Black Friday is nothing more than another invented pocketbook eater to bring forward the obligatory Christmas shopping, what was originally announced as a Friday of spending money on bargains has turned into three days of insistent calls to buy, stretching the nonsense until Sunday.

In addition, there is a fourth day, Monday, which is also a day to spend a lot of money shopping on the internet, known as Cyber Monday.

Fattening the pig

Now, two studies confirm what few doubted. Spain's big online tech retailers raised prices weeks before the supposedly big discount day. Barely one in ten products can be seen cheaper these days than in the previous month, while four out of ten are more expensive. (Source)

You don't have to look far to find lies, misleading advertising without qualms. On Wednesday 22 November I found my prehistoric letterbox full of Black Friday adverts.

In one of these spampapeles of Carrefour I found a phone of which I had consulted the price weeks before in the manufacturer's website because my terminal, inherited from fourth hand, falls to pieces and it seemed to me an option for price.

In the advertisement they advertised the same thing with a 30% discount.

Carrefour advertisement with prices valid from 23 to 26 November 2017

But on the brand's website, both models could be bought at least 10 days ago at the same price (they were lowered to 94 euros for Black Friday and now cost 99 euros again).

¿30% ? False. A fictitious discount on a supposedly non-existent and unknown higher price.
