Rachael Ball and Krent Able, two artists from the UK, launched"Cartoonists for Gaza", an initiative that brings together a wide range of authors to respond to the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza through the power of illustration, comics and graphic humour.
The project called on the British community of illustrators and cartoonists to create images protesting against violence and challenging silence in order to raise public awareness.
"Cartoons have always been a powerful tool for dissent," said the organisers in their introductory note. "In the age of social media, they can cut through the noise and reach the public directly, amplifying community action and protest.

Renowned creators such as Martin Rowson, Rachael House, Kate Evans, The Rickard Sisters, Bryan Talbot and Hannah Berry, along with many others from the UK, US and Europe, joined the initiative by spreading their work, each with their own personal vision of the situation. If you search for the hashtag #cartoonistsforg4za, you can see many more images on almost all social networks.
You can also see a selection of works in these three notes from Broken Frontier

John Sadler was one of the first participants with an image for #Cartoonists4Gaza.
