Genodide.

Gaza, current affairs. Cartoon of 29/12/2025 in CTXT

The last cartoon of the year to remind us that the genocide is not over. Now it is even worse because civilians are still being annihilated without it being on the front page, the "peace" agreement has managed to placate the murderers.

Hunger continues to bite. According to the latest IPC (Integrated Food Security Phase Classification) report, more than 1.6 million people continue to struggle with hunger and the aid that does arrive is not enough. Seventy-seven per cent of Gaza's population continues to face acute food insecurity and almost 101,000 children between the ages of six months and five years are expected to suffer from acute malnutrition by October 2026. Gaza lacks everything, including money.

As if this were not enough, the new year in Gaza will bring more death because Israel will prevent 37 NGOs from operating in Gaza and the West Bank from January 2026.

The Israeli parliament is once again "legalising" genocide after passing an amendment stripping UNRWA of its immunity and withdrawing the licences of Doctors Without Borders and 36 other humanitarian organisations on the grounds that they have failed to pass new rules it has pulled out of its sleeve, accusing them of hiring employees who "were involved in terrorist activities" without providing any evidence, as usual. Netanyahu's genocidal government continues to practice every conceivable form of killing under any pretext or even without it. Thus, the death toll in Gaza is approaching 71,000 as Israel continues to violate the ceasefire.

Since October 2023, according to medical sources quoted by the WAFA news agency, 70,945 people have been killed, mostly women and children. However, beyond the coldness of the numbers, this statistic is about homes destroyed, entire families wiped out and a civilian population trapped in prolonged and systematic violence.

The injury count is also grim. At least 171,211 Palestinians have been injured, many of them with extremely serious injuries(Source).
