ICE is the law enforcement agency of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement under the Department of Homeland Security, but in practice it is an army of thugs dressed in the style of a mix of terrorist, mercenary with Aliexpress accessories and soldier.
This army of violent, paramilitary-looking mugs, every fascist's wet dream, has become one of the federal agencies with the most power and resources, as this year Trump has multiplied its budget thanks to his tax reform, called"One Big Beautiful Bill", and guys are being hired by the bucketload. The hiring process has already been described by some as a"disaster". ICE increased spending on weapons by 700% during Trump's anti-immigrant campaign.
To recover all the violent and absolutely disproportionate actions of the masked ICE thugs would be enough to create a new Wikipedia. They drag and injure a blind man for protesting in front of ICE facilities and break into a Mexican family's house looking for someone who didn't live there.
They kidnap people on the street in broad daylight. They arrest a guy without charge and keep him handcuffed to a hospital bed for more than a month. Women, minors and children are ruthlessly assaulted.
In the US, more than 1,200 people have disappeared from records following their detention by ICE. These individuals, who were detained in July at theAlligator Alcatraz immigration detention centre in Florida, remain unaccounted for and have disappeared from ICE databases.
Federal Judge William Young, a Ronald Reagan appointee, in a 161-page First Amendment ruling, asserted that the Trump administration is violating the constitution and that "ICE wears masks for one reason only: to terrorise Americans into keeping quiet... To us, the masks are associated with the cowards of the despised Ku Klux Klan. In our entire history, we have never tolerated an armed and masked secret police".
