Milei's intelligence. Cartoon of 10/06/2024 in CTXT

It was the talk of last week, although since then it has rained a lot and Milei's anarcho-capitalist ultraliberal ultra-liberal bullshit storms are routine, you know. Not a day goes by without a ruckus to entertain the staff and get them talking about anything, as long as it's one of the things that the long-haired henpecked man has to talk about.

There is nothing a politician likes more than a headline that sells well in the media (Milei assures us that he is not a politician, that he is something else). Even if it is smoke and mirrors or absolute nothingness.

The point is that, after a meeting in May with OpenAI, Google, Apple and Meta, it is now considering using Google's AI to transform the Argentine state in the midst of a crisis. Just like that, without any further information or details. Take a good headline and shake it well.

In more than a few conversations in Argentina it is agreed that the shaggy-haired man has been sold little coloured mirrors and he has bought them with great enthusiasm because, in his dishevelled head (inside and out), handing over control of tools that handle sensitive data about the country and its inhabitants to a US company sounded very futuristic and libertarian as fuck.

The reform of the state with which Milei intends to "make it more efficient" would involve the use of a Google "module".

"We had a talk with Google staff. The company has a module to do state reform with artificial intelligence, so we will be moving forward on that," he said.

"We are working on it, and we spent time last night and this morning exactly", the other one said.

But he doesn't stop there, he now says he wants to create in Argentina "the fourth artificial intelligence centre in the world" with minimal regulations (you know what that means in ultra-libertarian jargon).

When something we are told by a government and/or in the press only generates more doubts, questions and concerns than answers, it is not information, it is a big turd, well covered with pompous propaganda.
