Well, the sixth wave is supposed to be here.

The OMS has classified the omicron variant (B.1.1.529) of SARS-CoV-2 as a variant of concern, presumably with a higher capacity for reinfection, and could have its vaccine in about 100 days or early 2022.

The symptoms of omicron will be mild, according to the doctor the symptoms of omicron will be mild, but reading in other media it is possible to find much more alarming versions. And what seems to me is that it is not yet clear how it will impact, so one should be equally sceptical of all the versions that are being installed at the extremes.

Since I don't have a clue about these matters, nor do I pretend to, nor do I think I ever will, no matter how hard I try, I've started by asking by search why this variant has been so named and apparently it was not to create confusion or offend anyone by using the letters "Nu" or "Xi".

Get ready for the turra of the dancing dates for the new vaccines, the endless polemics about COVID passports and the internet noise of the obtuse anti-vaccinationists that will mix with the Christmas carols until they drill every single functional neuron you have left.
