"The justice system confirmed that the entire party structure was affected by 'corruptelosis'".

The Supreme Court confirmed the conviction of the PP as civilly liable for the payment in black for the works of its headquarters in Calle Génova 13, this ratification is the third firm conviction against the PP.

According to the press release of the Judiciary, "the Second Chamber of the Supreme Court substantially upheld the sentence handed down by the Second Section of the Criminal Chamber of the Audiencia Nacional which prosecuted one of the pieces of the case known as Gürtel (Bárcenas papers)".

The two administrators of Unifica S.L., the studio in charge of carrying out reforms at the headquarters in Calle Génova, were convicted of tax fraud for the year 2007, as well as the former PP treasurer Luis Bárcenas as a necessary co-operator in facilitating the fraud by means of making a percentage of the payments owed in an opaque manner, with black money, and the sentences were reduced due to undue delays. The attenuating circumstance appreciated by the Chamber is based on the long time that has elapsed, five years, between the conclusion of the investigation and the oral trial.

Zaplana, ten years in prison

This is just another chapter in the PP's long history of corruption, with its respective convictions. Last October, the Valencia High Court sentenced former minister and former president of the Generalitat Eduardo Zaplana to 10 years and 5 months in prison for the"Erial case".

The Fourth Section imposed sentences of between one year and three months and five years in prison on six other defendants and acquitted the remaining eight of all offences. The Court considered it proven that Eduardo Zaplana received commissions for the awarding of ITV stations and created or took advantage of a corporate network both in Spain and in foreign countries to channel the funds and acquire assets.

Those convicted along with Eduardo Zaplana are the lawyer and tax advisor Francisco G.J., the former chief of staff in the Presidency of the Generalitat Juan Francisco G.G., the friend and front man of the former president Joaquín Miguel B.Ll., and the businessmen Juan and Vicente C.E. and Francisco P.L. Prada Presa, seven years in prison

And in September it was the turn of Alfredo Prada Presa, ex-counsellor of Justice of the Community of Madrid, another frog of Esperanza Aguirre, who was sentenced to seven years in prison by the Audiencia Nacional for continuous crimes of prevarication and aggravated embezzlement related to the failed and then abandoned for 20 years project of the Campus of Justice for a total of 40 million euros between 2005 and 2011.

At this point in the film I have almost exhausted the ideas for drawing its headquarters in relation to corruption. The cartoon at the top of this post is number 14 and in this other post you can see the previous 13.

Genoa 13, a monument to corruption

In 2021, Pablo Casado, the former president of the PP whom absolutely nobody misses, announced that he was preparing to move his headquarters. This luminary thought that by changing the location of the corrupt they would leave corruption forgotten in a corner of the building in Génova 13.

On 16 February 2021, at the party's National Executive Committee meeting, Pablo Casado announced that the PP would change location, said that they would sell the Genova 13 headquarters and that they would no longer talk about any "past issues". The move was never heard of again, and we all know what Casado's final fate was for getting on Casado's nerves with the leader.

This party will go down in history for practising corruption with professionalism; in 2018, 12 of its 14 ministers were indicted, implicated or had received bonuses, and that same year it was finally convicted for profiting from the Gürtel plot.
