La Pilarín is a documentary directed by Dani Feixas Roka with script by Feixas and Oleguer Homs about the life and work of Pilar Bayés i de Luna,"La Pilarín" (1941), which premiered on 22 March 2022.
The 69-minute documentary in Catalan was filmed in Vic and produced by Astronaut Films and Televisió de Catalunya (TV3) with the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Catalan Institute of Cultural Industries (ICEC) and the support of the University of Vic, the City Council of Vic, the Girbau Private Foundation and the City Council of Tona.
It reviews her work from a more personal approach, revealing unknown aspects of the life of this artist who, during more than sixty years of activity, has illustrated more than a thousand books (yes, a thousand, that's not a misprint).
