Iran responds to Trump. Cartoon of 23/03/2026 in CTXT
It has been four days since Iran replied to Trump by threatening "total closure" of the Strait of Hormuz if the US attacked its power plants, as the big-mouthed Cheeto claimed it would, who soon after announced he was postponing the attacks, claiming he was already negotiating with Iran, something Iran has denied time and again. Since then, so much backtalk, backbiting and taunting has ensued that it seems like four months rather than just a few hours have passed.
Afterwards, Trump made another of his outlandish statements, claiming that Iran had given him "a very big gift". "They gave us a gift and the gift came today, and it was a very big gift, worth a lot of money," Trump said, making the face of a kid who gets a Play for Christmas.
The only thing the tongues qualified was that the"gift" was related to the Strait of Hormuz, without giving any details, but that it had nothing to do with nuclear energy and was "related to oil and gas", and that it had been "a very nice gesture" that showed that the White House was "dealing with the right people".
Iran told him again that they do not recognise or know any interlocutor and that they will continue to fight for a "total victory" after rejecting Trump's claims of so-called peace negotiations, but the king of lies and dysfunctional president once again fed his parallel reality by declaring that:"This war is already won. The only people who want it to continue are the fake news."
At the same event, the drunken Pete Hegseth, US Secretary of War, provided the obligatory suck-up moment of the day and left this nice ass-licking of his boss:"The air campaign that we have conducted will go down in history. And it's because we have a president who, when he sends his soldiers into combat, gives them the freedom to go out and destroy the enemy as ferociously as possible from the very first moment".
The following day, Trump offered a 15-point peace plan to Iran and was said to be able to send some 3,000 elite troops to the area while Iran continued to deny negotiations, Iran again replied that there would be no agreement "not now, not ever", as they consider the conditions proposed to be simply a surrender. According to other sources, Iran is proposing its own five-point agreement.
There is already talk of deploying 2,000 US paratroopers to the Middle East, and Iran continues to send Trump strong messages about the supposed negotiations:"Don't call your defeat an agreement", Iran retorts.
Since Trump does not seem to be aware of the Iranian position, the final joke came with this message from Ebrahim Zolfaqari of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps:"Hey, Trump, you're fired!", a rather uncool reference to the phrase "You are fired!", popularised by Trump on that farcical TV show The Apprentice, which he starred in between 2004 and 2017.
There they are, while people die by the handful and others are forced to leave their homes to flee to who knows where, as is happening to many Lebanese and as happened and is happening in Palestine, they continue to send their "hate" to create "hype" like vulgar Tiktokers so that we have enough war "lore" to get us hooked on the war.
And looking back for a moment to that monstrosity that Trump called"peace" for Palestine, Israel is one step away from legalising the execution of Palestinian prisoners. The Knesset's National Security Committee has approved a death penalty bill ahead of final readings. The proposal establishes mandatory execution, removes fundamental judicial safeguards, requires execution to be carried out within 90 days and prevents any pardon or reduction of the sentence.

And as a final cherry on top, give Trump credit for something he has done very well. He has enriched himself more during his time in office than any president in US history. He has used the influence of the White House to close real estate projects, profit from cryptocurrencies, receive valuable gifts and benefit from out-of-court settlements.
