The figures are chilling and the worst thing is that they are not expected to stop growing.
In Gaza, a Palestinian is killed every five minutes. More than 20,000 Palestinians have been killed since 7 October. This shameful figure is already 1% of Gaza's population. It is estimated that 70% of the dead are women and children. The provisional number of wounded now exceeds 52,000.

These figures, released by the Gazan authorities, also indicate that in addition to the more than 20,000 dead, there are 1.9 million forcibly displaced people living in inhumane conditions in the narrow confines of the Gaza Strip. Eight out of ten Palestinians who have had to leave their homes, often reduced to rubble, including people who have been displaced several times.
