[caption id="attachment_107467" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Logo of the Spanish Association of Christian Lawyers[/caption] The Spanish Association of Christian Lawyers was founded in 2008 by lawyer Polonia Castellanos for, among other things, "the legal defence of religious freedom, life, the family and all citizens whose rights and freedoms are violated because of their faith". Castellanos has chaired the association since then, and in 2021 it was established as a national non-profit civil foundation and renamed the Spanish Foundation of Christian Lawyers (Fundación Española de Abogados Cristianos). It is made up of lawyers, solicitors, jurists, professors and law students. The collective is best known for the exaggerated number of absurd lawsuits they have filed against different people for their personal opinions, artistic manifestations, political acts and other exercises of free expression. The vast majority of these lawsuits have either been unsuccessful or lost. The collective has been singled out for its possible links to the ultra-Catholic and fascist paramilitary secret society known as El Yunque, which its president denies.
