The burning of Judas. Cartoon of 13/04/2026 in CTXT
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a message on X in which it added the video of the burning of the Judas of El Burgo (Malaga), which this year was the turn of a Netanyahu doll.
The outrageous anti-Semitic hatred on display here is a direct consequence of
the systematic incitement of the @sanchezcastejon government.
And even now, the Spanish government remains silent.
The Spanish chargé d'affaires was summoned for a reprimand.

I invite you to tell me where the fuck are the anti-Semitic symbols or messages on the "Bibi" doll. It's a rhetorical question, these people don't care because they stick the anti-Semitic label on absolutely everything that doesn't fit their warmongering, colonial and genocidal discourse.
There is no flag of Israel for them to clutch at the Star of David, nor is there anyone eating children for them to argue with the medieval blood libel bollocks. The cartoon of Netanyahu, rather abstractly it must be said, also has no such-and-such "forbidden" nose, nor is there any allusion to any religion, belief, trope, myth or legend.
Mariló Narváez, socialist mayor of El Burgo, responded to the accusations by assuring that they are neither anti-Semitic nor an attack on Israel.
The crybabies don't even pass one to present themselves as victims, but they had no problem and no remorse after murdering 28 children a day in Gaza for years. Still, they are capable of mounting a diplomatic conflict over a fucking dummy and think they have the right to punish anyone even outside their borders.

Israel kills 28 children a day in Gaza. Cartoon of 20/07/2025 in CTXT
But Israel not only killed any civilian with bombs and snipers, the genocidal state of Israel also starved everyone it could, and is still trying to do so, and burned tons of banknotes in a million-dollar Google ad campaign to deny the famine in Gaza. Such is the propaganda apparatus of the Israeli army.
This traditional burning of Judas, declared of Andalusian Tourist Interest, is a pagan and religious festival with more than 70 years of history that symbolises the burning of the bad and the negative of the whole year and is not only carried out in El Burgo. Effigies are burned in many other Spanish towns and villages and also in Mexico and Venezuela.
In Malaga, every Easter Sunday, a 7-metre doll filled with about 14 kilos of gunpowder is burnt (or rather blown up with firecrackers) to represent a character chosen for being considered evil, treacherous, bad. A Judas, in other words.
In the morning, the Virgin of the Miraculous Medal and the Heart of Jesus are carried in procession and at midday, in the Plaza de Abajo, they meet the image of Judas. It is then when, amidst fireworks and fireworks, the doll is burnt, as a way of celebrating the Resurrection of Christ and the triumph over sin. This tradition dates back to the 40s of the last century, when the parish priest at that time, a native of the Basque Country, wanted to introduce the tradition of his homeland in the municipality. Initially, the "Judas" was the size of a person, but over the years it has changed to become the giant doll that is burnt today (Source: Turismo de Andalucía).
Last year they burned one of Donald Trump and in previous editions it was the turn of Nicolás Maduro, Vladimir Putin, Elon Musk, the Manada de Pamplona and even Christopher Columbus.

To give just a few more examples, in Teror, on the island of Gran Canaria, in the province of Las Palmas, in recent years, people as diverse as Pocholo, the Pantoja of Puerto Rico, Charles of England, Julián Muñoz, Farruquito, "Chikilicuatre", Trump and Luis Rubiales have been burnt.
This is not the first time that someone has been upset by the burning of a dummy. In 2023, paradoxically, it was the socialist party that complained about the burning of a doll with a mask of Pedro Sánchez in the municipality of Las Ventas Con Peña Aguilera, province of Toledo, condemning the burning as"displays of hatred, disrespect and confrontation".
In 2019, the Generalitat tried unsuccessfully to take to court the burning of a Judas with the appearance of Carles Puigdemont in Coripe (Seville) for incitement to violence, discrimination or rejection of a political ideology.
In short, I can think of no more diplomatic response to Israel's appeal to Francisca Pedrosa, the Spanish Chargé d'Affaires and Spain's sole representative in the country since the ambassador's withdrawal, for a"reprimand" than to tell them to go to hell.
