Neutrality. Cartoon of 18/05/2025 in CTXT
Translation of the cartoon: ‘You have to see how “neutral” they have made everything’.
Yet another year of this audiovisual attack that they call Eurovision has taken place. And this is already the third year in which there has been more talk of Palestine than of the festival's own nonsense. For that reason alone, welcome to this stale "musical" nonsense that has experienced a rebirth from irrelevance thanks to the noise of the social networks.
Eurovision itself is the least of the European chichinabism. No aggression is going to be stopped by banning a representation of the aggressor country from singing, but it does not hurt to let the genocidaires know that we are not going to applaud them. It is just one more stop in the necessary boycott and sanctions actions that should have been imposed and maintained for years.
The fact is that the match was already more than hot with Israel's participation, as in previous editions, and RTVE opened the broadcast with this rather generic and soft message, although pointing towards Palestine. That's something.

Belgian public television was much more explicit and expeditious and did not broadcast Israel's Eurovision performance while recalling that the State of Israel destroys freedom of the press.
At the moment when the representative of Israel was about to appear, they showed this message in Flemish, which remained throughout her performance.

"This is a trade union action. We condemn the violations of human rights by the State of Israel. Moreover, the State of Israel destroys the freedom of the press. That's why we interrupt the picture for a moment". And two hashtags: #CeaseFireNow and #StopGenocide.
As this was not the first reference to genocide on Spanish public television, the European Broadcasting Union(EBU), the body responsible for the Eurovision scam, considered these to be "political statements" and threatened RTVE with "punitive fines" if the references were repeated during the final and called on RTVE to maintain"neutrality".
The European Broadcasting Union thus signs another shameful page in history that will remind us that they behaved like the worst collaborationists, asking for applause, smiles and silence in the face of one of the biggest massacres of recent civilians.
We already know that with Russia, the organisers of this European festival had no qualms about getting dignified with "political statements" announcing that they were banning their participation.
It should be noted that, as of 2022, the main sponsor of the East Coast event is Moroccanoil, an Israeli company. Moroccan Oil Israel Ltd is a company specialising in Middle Eastern beauty products. Very European.
However, the EBU-EBU, magnanimous as they are, ended up deciding not to sanction RTVE for its message about Israel and rushed to assure that no sponsor has any influence on Eurovision.
Everything surrounding this pantomime is either a laughing matter or a crying matter, depending on how you look at it, because while the representative of the genocidal state of Israel was crooning, her army was murdering more than a hundred people in Gaza and shortly afterwards announced that it was going to increase the intensity of the genocide associated with the occupation (if one can even further devastate human rights) with a demolition operation it has called "Gideon's Chariots".
There were many gestures from different groups, but there were very few, if any, actions with a real impact from different organisations and countries beyond posturing. Thus, more than 70 former Eurovision contestants called for the exclusion of Israel from the festival. Of the participants, nothing. None withdrew. Members of Acampada por Palestina protested in front of RTVE's headquarters against the whitewashing of Israel in Eurovision.
And you know the result of the parade of the"voting" for the songs. It is heartwarming to read that RTVE has decided to ask the body responsible for Eurovision for an audit to investigate the Spanish televote as if it were a real election.
And then came the statements. That bottomless sack into which the best and worst wishes are stuffed in order to please your parish and/or attack those of the other parish. Both the lazy Abascal and the sociopath Ayuso, always on the shameful side of history, coincided in their messages of defence of Israel in the face of the massacre in Gaza, and Pedro Sánchez called for Israel to be removed from Eurovision.
Volker Turk, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights condemns the attacks on Gaza. He denounces the Israeli bombardment of Gaza and its "possible involvement in "an attempt" at ethnic cleansing and violations of international law. A sanitised conditional in every sense of the word. It could be genocide, this luminary tells us. More than 53,000 killed is not enough of a clue to openly call a spade a spade.
For her part, the head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, says she will review trade agreements with Israel as there is "a strong majority of countries" calling for it. But we are already seeing it. But there is no hurry, because there are still some Palestinians alive. The first thing is declaratory posturing.
Here, Congress voted on an initiative for a reform that would allow a comprehensive arms embargo on Israel, but at the same time it is assured that it will be "very complicated" to enforce because Israel sells military technology that they need a lot for the Spanish army and I don't know what kind of cheap bullshit like that.
Margarita Robles keeps repeating that Spain has not bought arms from Israel since 7 October 2023. However, Centre Delàs claims that Spain awarded 46 contracts to Israeli arms companies between 2023 and 2025 for a total value of 1,044,558,955 euros (and there are still 10 more contracts to be formalised).
The genocidaires are not going to stop. They will continue to murder and cry because they are called genocidal. They will continue to shoot at anything and everything alive and stink up the earth with evil and contempt for life.
The latest response message to the world from the genocidaires was to shoot at a foreign diplomatic delegation in the occupied West Bank visiting Jenin consisting of representatives of more than 25 countries, including representatives of the UK, Italy, France, China, Spain and Arab countries such as Jordan and Egypt.
