Der findes flere plugins, der gør noget lignende, men næsten alle er udviklet til brug, når du designer eller gennemgår en hjemmeside sammen med kunder (eller til dine egne projekter), for at gøre feedbackprocessen mere effektiv ved at give mulighed for at tilføje noter i redigeringsværktøjet til indlæg og sider eller på dit WordPress-dashboard.
Konceptet bag denne funktion, som jeg tidligere havde her til et meget specifikt formål, er i det væsentlige det samme, men med en anden anvendelse: at vise en note hvor som helst, som enhver besøgende kan se og lukke. Den kan bruges som en advarsel eller en opfordring til handling, da man kan tilføje links (ved at skrive URL'en med https://), til hurtige præciseringer eller rettelser, mens man redigerer eller opdaterer, eller til at tilføje yderligere oplysninger om et billede. Man kan sige, at den fungerer både som en informativ note og som en advarsel.
Da jeg er vild med enkle plugins og funktioner, er de også nemme at bruge.
Når du har tilføjet funktionen – enten som et snippet eller i filen functions.php i din skabelon – behøver du ikke gøre mere. En bruger, der er logget ind som administrator, kan tilføje en note ved at trykke på ALT og venstre museknap på det sted, hvor noten skal vises.
Noterne, som også kan tilføjes på billederne, ser sådan ud.
Jeg er stadig i gang med at finjustere dette, så det passer så godt som muligt til det sted, hvor man trykker på ALT + venstreklik, da noten i øjeblikket vises et par millimeter længere nede eller længere oppe, afhængigt af hvilket element den tilføjes til.
Under de første test opdagede jeg, at noterne flyttede sig fra deres oprindelige placering, når jeg ændrede størrelsen på browservinduerne. For at løse dette problem måtte jeg søge hjælp. Problemet blev løst ved hjælp af aktiv overvågning af begivenheder (scroll og resize) via JavaScript, som dynamisk genberegner koordinaterne ud fra en fast (fixed) container. Nu forbliver noterne fuldstændig ubevægelige og fastlåste på deres nøjagtige placering, uanset ændringer i skærmstørrelsen.
Du kan oprette så mange noter, som du vil, men husk, at den sidste note, du tilføjer, altid vil dække den forrige, hvis du placerer den tæt på eller oven på den, og at man (endnu) ikke kan trække dem, men kun lukke dem.
Kontrolpanelet er også meget enkelt. Det viser blot en liste med titlen på det indlæg eller den side, hvor der er tilføjet noter, samt antallet af noter. Der er en knap til at åbne URL’en og en anden til at slette alle de noter, der er tilføjet på den pågældende side.
Nedenfor finder du ryddeområdet, hvor du med et enkelt klik kan slette alle notater i databasen. Både knappen til masse-sletning og knappen til individuel sletning rydder databasens rækker fuldstændigt, så der ikke efterlades unødvendige data på siden, hvis du beslutter dig for ikke længere at bruge funktionen.
Der oprettes ikke brugerdefinerede tabeller. Alt gemmes direkte ved hjælp af `update_option()` i standardtabellen `wp_options ` under navnet ` little_notes_page_[ID]`.
Et andet aspekt, som jeg lægger så stor vægt på som muligt, er ydeevnen. Hvis brugeren ikke er logget ind som administrator, og der ikke er nogen noter på siden, indlæses der slet ingen kode. Det har ingen indflydelse på hastigheden for dine besøgende.
Når man bruger et absolut lærred (canvas) med `pointer-events: none`, svæver noterne på websiden uden at påvirke CSS, margenerne eller temaets elementer (indtil videre testet i GeneratePress).
Selvom jeg ikke har fundet nogen fejl, fortsætter jeg med at teste det for at øge sikkerheden og finpudse det med henblik på at omdanne det til et plugin, som kan uploades til WordPress-arkivet, så jeg anbefaler, at du foreløbig afprøver det i et testmiljø.
Jeg har et par forbedringer i tankerne. Hvis du har lyst til at prøve det, kan du foreslå en funktion, som du mener mangler, eller som ville være nyttig og/eller nødvendig, hvis det ender med at blive et officielt plugin til arkivet. Den foreløbige titel på dette mulige plugin er Little Notes (Små noter eller Enkle noter).
I mellemtiden vil jeg, hvis jeg opdaterer funktionskoden, gøre det lige her og ændre datoen, så du ved, at den er blevet ændret.
