Esistono diversi plugin che svolgono una funzione simile, ma quasi tutti sono pensati per quando si progetta o si revisiona un sito web con i clienti (o per i propri progetti), al fine di snellire il processo di feedback offrendo la possibilità di aggiungere note nell'editor dei post e delle pagine o nella dashboard di WordPress.
L'idea alla base di questa funzione, che avevo creato qui per uno scopo ben preciso, è sostanzialmente simile, ma con una finalità diversa: mostrare una nota in qualsiasi punto della pagina, che possa essere visualizzata e chiusa da qualsiasi visitatore. Può essere utilizzata come avviso o come invito all’azione, poiché è possibile aggiungere link (digitando l’URL con https://), per chiarimenti o correzioni rapide mentre si modifica o si aggiorna un contenuto, oppure per aggiungere informazioni aggiuntive su un’immagine. Si può dire che funga sia da nota informativa che da avviso.
Poiché mi piacciono i plugin e le funzioni semplici, anche il loro utilizzo è altrettanto semplice.
Una volta aggiunta la funzione, sia come snippet che nel file functions.php del tuo tema, non devi fare altro. L'utente che ha effettuato l'accesso come amministratore potrà aggiungere una nota premendo il tasto ALT e il tasto sinistro del mouse nel punto in cui desidera che appaia la nota.
Le note, che possono essere aggiunte anche sulle immagini, hanno questo aspetto.
Sto ancora perfezionando questa funzione affinché si adatti il più possibile al punto in cui si preme ALT + clic sinistro, poiché al momento la nota appare qualche millimetro più in basso o più in alto a seconda dell'elemento su cui viene aggiunta.
Durante i primi test ho notato che, ridimensionando le finestre del browser, le note si spostavano dalla loro posizione originale. Per risolvere il problema ho dovuto chiedere aiuto. Il problema è stato risolto ricorrendo al monitoraggio attivo degli eventi (scroll e resize) tramite JavaScript, che ricalcola dinamicamente le coordinate in base a un contenitore fisso (fixed). Ora le note rimangono completamente immobili e fisse nella loro posizione esatta, indipendentemente dalle variazioni delle dimensioni dello schermo.
Puoi inserire tutte le note che vuoi, tenendo presente che l'ultima che aggiungi sovrascriverà sempre quella precedente se la metti troppo vicina o sopra di essa e che (per ora) non è possibile trascinarle, ma solo chiuderle.
Anche il pannello di controllo è essenziale. Mostra solo un elenco con il titolo del post o della pagina in cui sono state aggiunte delle note e il numero di note. Un pulsante per visitare l'URL e un altro per cancellare tutte le note aggiunte in quella pagina.
Qui sotto si trova l'area di pulizia, dove è possibile eliminare tutte le note presenti nel database con un solo clic. Sia il pulsante di pulizia completa che quello di cancellazione singola eliminano completamente le righe dal database, evitando di lasciare dati residui sul sito nel caso in cui decidessi di smettere di utilizzare la funzione.
Non vengono create tabelle personalizzate. Tutto viene memorizzato in modo nativo utilizzando la funzione ` update_option() ` nella tabella standard `wp_options ` con il nome ` little_notes_page_[ID]`.
Un altro aspetto a cui dedico tutta l'attenzione possibile è la velocità di caricamento. Se l'utente non ha effettuato l'accesso come amministratore e nella pagina non sono presenti note, non viene caricato assolutamente alcun codice. Impatto pari a zero sulla velocità di caricamento delle tue pagine.
Utilizzando una tela (canvas) assoluta con `pointer-events: none`, le note galleggiano sulla pagina web senza alterare il CSS, i margini o gli elementi del tema (per ora testato su GeneratePress).
Sebbene non abbia riscontrato errori, sto continuando a testarlo per rafforzarne la sicurezza e perfezionarlo, con l'intenzione di trasformarlo in un plugin da caricare nel repository di WordPress; ti consiglio quindi, per il momento, di provarlo in un ambiente di test.
Ho in mente un paio di miglioramenti. Se hai voglia di provarlo, puoi suggerire qualche funzionalità che ritieni manchi o che potrebbe essere utile e/o necessaria qualora dovesse diventare, alla fine, un plugin ufficiale per il repository. Il titolo provvisorio di questo probabile plugin è Little Notes (Piccole note o Note semplici).
Nel frattempo, se aggiornerò il codice della funzione, lo farò proprio qui e cambierò la data in modo che tu sappia che è stato modificato.
