Israel bombed Beirut's southern suburbs with unprecedented intensity in a "surgical" strike on what the army said was Hezbollah's headquarters under residential buildings in Beirut. Hezbollah confirmed the death of its leader Hassan Nasrallah.
This surgical strike, like collateral damage, is already a bullshit war euphemism that we are used to, largely thanks to US propaganda and its films in which a small group of brave heroes execute the "bad guy" with spectacular precision. The reality is always much sadder and bloodier.
Imagine the "surgical" nature of the attacks, the bombing has already displaced a million people. One sixth of Lebanon's inhabitants have been forced to flee the country. Already we read that Israel has informed its partner in genocide, the US, of an imminent offensive with a ground incursion into Lebanon.
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati declared that they have no choice but diplomacy as the only way out amid unprecedented Israeli attacks and advocated seeking solutions to the conflict through international fora.
But this has only just begun, the" Middle Easttension " may have another parallel chapter in Iran.
