If you were waiting for the release of the final version of WordPress 6.5 on Tuesday, you'll have to wait another seven days because it won't be released until next Tuesday, April 2.
The new date has been announced based on follow-up feedback from the community on additional changes needed with the font library feature for block themes.
The reason for the delay is that a little more time is needed to ensure that as many sites as possible can benefit from this new font library feature without the need to install or configure anything. After evaluating the possible options and discussing the proposed solution, they have determined that the lowest risk option was to store the fonts in the wp-content/uploads/fonts directory.
