Goals achieved at the Madrid Climate Summit

"Time for action" was the slogan on the COP25 poster.

But for some scientists, the 2019 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Madrid has only reached an insufficient and unambitious agreement. The event has ended with the promise to continue looking at the issue another day, if that's the case. And if it comes up with more ambition.

The summit ended without achieving its objectives, but with an agreement the summit ended without fulfilling objectives, but with a" Chile-Madrid Tiempo de Actuar" (Chile-Madrid Time to Act).

In 2020, countries will have to come up with emission reduction proposals, preferably more ambitious ones, in order to be able to look ahead to the emergency climate change. Thus, a third "Time to Act" could be reissued at COP 26, with a different date.

It is time to act, but without haste, which is a bad advisor. Whoever says now, says any other year.
