Reception estimation according to the current antenna orientation (the map now needs to be updated to add Asia).
I leave here a few recordings of night listening with this Megaloop antenna and this RTL-SDR receiver.
Although I still hear almost nothing from North America, and even less from South America, the propagation, always capricious and unpredictable, surprised me the first nights of August.
I was able to listen to different stations from Southeast Asia and other parts of Europe that had not yet arrived.
6 August. Although the propagation that night seemed weak and the QRM and QSB were strong, suddenly station 9K2KO, Op. Musallam Mohammad, from Hawalli,(Kuwait) on 14.215 MHz USB started to be heard leaving with a 5 element 500 watt antenna. Distance: 4,900 km approx.
On Saturday, 10 August, the spread made its appearance at midnight and remained usable for a little over two hours.
I listened to Kuwait again, this time on station 9K2NO, Muhammad Al Nashash, on 14.201 MHz USB from Kuwait City.
The same day, on 14.210 MHz USB, around 2am local time, different stations were calling as M0RDW from UK and ended up with H21LG, Nasser, coming in from Saudi Arabia quite strong (for my humble conditions). Distance: 4,850 km approx. I was able to record a couple of cuts until the propagation died.
Interestingly, during all that time I heard only one station in Spain, and that was EA8TG, Martín, which broadcasts every day from 22:30 to 23:30 UTC on 14.130 MHz from Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
