Donald Trump unveiled his trade war by imposing tariffs on much of the world. He did so in another of his bizarre acts with a cardboard box listing the "aggrieved" countries or regions and called the thing"liberation day". We know how much the Yankees love to christen all sorts of crap with grandiloquent names.
In less than 24 hours the stock markets take a beating and Wall Street suffers the sharpest fall since the pandemic and the European stock market also suffers from the announcement of the tariffs.
But the orange delinquent would soon take a step back in his tariff war to announce a three-month pause and now fixes them at 10%, except for China, to which he raises them to 104% and then raises them again to 125%. In the absence of the full backing of the capitalist machine, which is panicking, Trump does what he always does, he chooses and enlarges a new enemy to keep us entertained and accuses China of "disrespect" and now seeks a global alliance to combat the "threat".
Wall Street then rallies and also soars after Trump's announcement to suspend tariffs for 90 days. Markets are like that. Sneeze a moron and they catch a cold.
China strikes back at US tariffs, raising them from 34% to 84% from 10 April, after Trump raised tariffs on imported Chinese goods to 104%.
Don't try to follow the "initiatives" of Trump and the herd of sociopaths he has surrounded himself with. You will lose a valuable, irretrievable portion of your life. It will be like trying to tidy up and clean out a landfill. As soon as he starts to see even the slightest improvement in the environment, twenty trucks will show up to dump tons of new and old shit on his head.
